  • To send you daily AI-generated podcast summaries based on your subscriptions (contractual necessity).
  • To authenticate you via magic link emails (contractual necessity).

4. Lawful Basis for Processing

5. Data Sharing & Third Parties

  • OpenAI (AI processing) — podcast audio is transcribed and summarised using OpenAI's API. No personal data is sent to OpenAI; only podcast audio content is processed.
  • Podcast Index (podcast search) — used to search for podcast metadata. No personal data is shared.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to any third party.

6. Data Retention

  • Account data — retained for as long as you have an active account. If you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.
  • Session tokens — automatically expire and are deleted after 30 days.
  • Verification tokens — expire after 24 hours and are deleted automatically.
  • Delivery records — retained for 90 days for service reliability, then automatically deleted.

7. Your Rights

Under the UK GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.
